Business Description: Picongen enables wireless distribution of high bandwidth applications such as full resolution HDMI media and high-speed data transfers between multiple devices in the network (up to 3.9 Gbps), by creating a big pipe using industry standard physical layers with Picongen’s patented Multi-Streaming software. Picongen provides all digital Layer 3 software with reference designs for OEMs like Plasma TV, HDDVD and multimedia equipment manufacturers.

Opportunity: Limited bandwidth,limited range and reliability in wireless transmissions have long been a bottle neck for providing high bandwidth wireless applications. Compressing the data wont cut it. Neither does developing a whole new wireless physical layer (cost-prohibitive). Problem solved. Picongen provides more than 10X increase in wireless bandwidth (up to 3.9 Gbps) using standard WiFi physical layer. In fact, the technology applies to any multichannel technology.
